ESC & Hergé Museum visits Mumbai06/12/2019

An interesting documentary named ‘Tintin, Moonwalker’ captured attention of all young comic and space lovers at Nehru Centre Auditorium where the film was screened in front of 900 students from 14 schools on 27th November. Thanks to the Consulate General of Belgium who took this initiative to ignite the young minds to think more about space and it’s functioning.

The introduction to the event by our Consul General, Pierre-Emmanuel Brusselmans and the presentation (that included most important names like Big Bang theory inventor, etc.) by Marco de Klerk from Euro Space Center, their activities and Astronaut workshops in Belgium (Wallonia) created curiosities in these young minds to learn more about the outer world. The most entertaining part was the quiz by Yves Fevrier of Moulinsart from Herge Museum (HM) based in Belgium, where winners got some exciting Tintin goodies.

AWEX Mumbai with Destino Global as educational tour partner, Euro Space Centre and Herge Museum collectively organized presentations at well-known International Schools in Mumbai. It was amazing to see the responses from students to the quizzes, their updated information related to India’s recent mission to Mars and their interest for astronaut workshops. Euro Space Centre thus proposed them fun with education packages.

ESC is a science museum and educational tourist attraction located in Transinne, Belgium. It is devoted to space science and astronautics. Euro Space Center is coming up with a grand new look with more interesting activities and new training modules. Since last 2 years Euro Space Center witnessed visits of many Indian Schools. Schools have testified and are happy with ESC’s education focus, personal attention towards all participants, very friendly and enthusiast staff and yummy Indian food. So Euro Space Center is your ticket to space! Put on your space suit and join center to explore the daily life of astronauts.

Tintin’s adventures are most loved among Indian kids and adults. The Hergé Museum invites you on a journey through the life of one of the greatest artists of the twentieth century. The museum is located in the center of the Belgian city of Louvain-la-Neuve. It contains eight permanent galleries displaying original artwork by Hergé, and telling the story of his life and career. The exhibitions also include examples of Hergé's diverse and prolific output working as a graphic designer in the 1930s. The Museum houses a temporary exhibition gallery, which is updated every few months to host new exhibitions (with diverse titles such as Tintin, Hergé and Trains and Into Tibet with Tintin).

Most importantly, Euro Space Centre is a no profit organization where the only motive is to arise and push the young minds to learn about the world of space and no better than Tintin comics related to astronauts & space, as it truly associates with the reality in a simpler way and proper English for the children.
