Renewable Energy Seminar - Mumbai - 26th Sepetember 202228/09/2022
As a part of our Renewable Energy Mission - India 2022 AWEX Mumbai oraginsed a semimar on 26th September 2022, the theme of the seminar was “Cost & Technological Optimization Solutions.” Seminar opening remarks by His Excellency Mr. Frank Geerkens, The Consul General of Belgium, Mumbai, and hosted by Trade and Investment Commissioner Ms. Emmanuelle Timmermans.
We thank our Keynote Speakers and Panellists Mr. Ashish Khanna, CEO, of Tata Renewables, our guest speakers Mr. Vivek Srivastava, CEO, of Waree Group, and Mr. Siddharth Mayur, CEO, of H2E Power for the great insights.
Mr. Fabian Scuvie, the Senior Energy Specialist of AWEX (Wallonia’s trade & investment promotion agency), showcased Wallonia’s rich innovative ecosystems as well as a mapping of different value chains present in the renewable energy sector (companies, research & academic centers, financial and governmental bodies).
The Six well-known award-winning multinational companies from Wallonia participated in this seminar. Some companies already have a long-standing association with India. The delegation comprises John Cockerill (the multi-industrial group active in hydrogen, Concentrated Solar Power, and other sources of energy), N-Side (a company that specialized in data handling for the management of electricity grids), CE+T (multi-awarded pioneers who develop inverters and have long-standing collaborations in India, including an investment in a research laboratory), Armacell (who manufactures polyethylene foams for wind turbines, among other energy applications), and chemicals companies Dow (for its expertise in technical silicones and coatings enhancing the lifespan of solar panels in PV farms), Silox (currently investing in India in a battery recycling facility that will extract non-ferrous metals) and Solvay (world-renowned in the field of advanced materials). These will be the flag-bearers of Walloon excellence.
The event witnessed attendees from major private as well as government companies /bodies, to name a few Tata, Reliance, Essar, JSW, The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply & Transport (BEST), Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDL), and TERI - The Energy and Resources Institute.
The second phase of the event comprised of b2b meetings, the future joint ventures, and collaborations will be based on these meetings.
